Groups for Adults
Difficult Parents Group
A group for adult women who grew up with difficult parents who want to rediscover and reclaim their identity.
Fridays from 12:15-1:45 PM
Group members will find support, explore ways to set healthy boundaries, and learn strategies to reclaim parts of their identity. It is suitable for women who grew up with parents who had unresolved and unaddressed mental health issues, chemical dependency, or other similar struggles. Group members may benefit if they struggle with setting boundaries, making decisions, experience communication difficulties in their own lives, or have other unresolved issues from growing up with a difficult mother.
The group supports individuals remaining with their individual therapist and also supports women who are both cut off from their parents or who are currently in a relationship with them. Each session will include open discussion, education, and an experiential component. Cost is $37.50 per session with a 4-week commitment. Call 612-216-0984 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a 30-minute intake. A maximum of 6 participants will be permitted in the group at one time.

Academic stressors, challenging peer relationships, and the challenges of navigating social media are just a few obstacles that can get in the way of teens developing self-compassion. In this experiential group, teens will have space to explore their identities, commit to developing self-acceptance and self-kindness, and explore and develop healthy values about themselves in a safe space. GLBTQ-affirming. There will be a maximum of 8 participants in this group, and group members are asked to commit to attending at least 8 sessions in order to participate.
